International Outcome Measurement Conference

  The Journal of Applied Measurement and JAM Press, with the generous support of MetaMetrics, are pleased to announce that the International Outcome Measurement Conference, IOMC 2015, will be held in Chicago at the Hampton Inn by Hilton, Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile, on April 21 and 22, 2015, immediately following the AERA/NCME annual meeting. The hotel is located one block east of Michigan Avenue at the corner of Huron and St. Clair (160 E. Huron St.; 312-585-9333. Please note that the name of the hotel has changed, but the location has not. There are now two hotels that share the same entrance but have different check-in areas.) The room block with the reduced rates for the conference is at the Hampton Inn. Please use the group name, International Outcomes Measurement Conference, to obtain the reduced block rate. The room block expires on March 24, 2015. Dinning information and instructions for travel to the hotel will be available on this website in the in March 2015.

  This is the fourth meeting of IOMC, a series of health outcomes meetings that originated in 1996. The first IOMC, held at the University of Chicago, was organized by Richard Smith and Ben Wright. IOMC 2015 will feature 16 presentation sessions over two days. The paper and symposium submission period is now closed. The preliminary program will be announced in February 2015. Paper and Symposium Submission

  The paper and symposium submission process is now closed.

  The papers presented at this conference will be published in the Journal of Applied Measurement beginning in 2016. Authors will be required to provide a peer review copy of the manuscript that will be presented by March 20, 2015, to expedite publication. The Journal of Applied Measurement is indexed in Pub Med and Index Medicus, which gives medical researchers easy access to the abstracts of the papers.

Conference Registration

  Regular conference registration is now closed. The final date for regular registration was March 14, 2015. Late conference registration is available untill all available seats are filled. The registration fee is $90 US. The IOMC 2015 Registration Form link below will lead you to a printable pdf that can be completed and returned by e-mail, fax, or surface mail. The conference registration process is not available online. The current registration fee is $90 for all persons, as long as seats are available. Onsite registration will be accepted at the late regiatration rate, as long as seats are available. Checks (payable in USD and drawn on a US bank) as well as VISA and MasterCard payments are accepted for registration fees. The final program will contains abstracts for all of the presentations. Small changes in the program are possible at any time. Optional Conference Dinner

  The conference dinner is planned for the Dao Thai Restaurant at 230 E. Ohio St. on Tuesday, April 21, at 6:30 pm. The restaurant is a short 3 1/3 block walk from the conference hotel. The restaurant has played a non-trivial role in the development of Rasch health outcome scales. The restaurant menu is available at: http://www.daothai.com/pdf/Dao_menu_dinner140721.pdf. The cost of the dinner is not included in the registration fees.
